Too School for Cool

Today was my first day of seminary! Everything got off to a great start. I even wore a dress and curled my hair for an 8 am class. Ha! Ask me in a couple weeks and I bet I'll be back in jeans and a messy bun.

But most of all I am so excited to dig into the Word and learn more, both academically and experientially, about the character of our God... with a little help from some iced coffee.

Southwestern's campus is definitely much smaller than the University of Texas but there is so much charm on this tiny campus. I'm exploring all the quiet nooks like this gorgeous prayer garden!

I've been getting settled in my new little house in Ft Worth with Ringo. Once I've got all the colors and decorations up I will do a home tour and some tips on decorating on a strict budget! Just like my #cheapgirlfashion, the majority of my housewares are hand me downs, Craigslist and Goodwill finds, gifts and old items upcycled.

Oh, and remember way back when I said I was going to DIY my own ruffle duvet cover. Psh. Silly past me. If anyone wants to send me a link to a deep purple blanket, bedspread, comforter or duvet cover that's affordable, I'm up for suggestions!

Ringo and I are getting acquainted with the Ft Worth area and have found a dog park that we love! It has been great to have my baby here with me :)

Do you live in the DFW area? I'd love to meet you! Comment, tweet or message me and we can get together!

  13. Love that dress! It's from target isn't it? I'm pretty sure I tried it on once, but ended up not getting it, because I didn't really need a dress.

I hope you get settled quickly into your new place! Have a wonderful weekend!

  15. So jealous you are able to go to seminary. I was considering on attending especially since my old job (I worked at McLean Bible Church before I had my son Judah) was giving classes for DTS. Love the artwork on your bed! Is that from an etsy store? Im always looking for colorful artwork for my house, especially if it has scripture on it.
